Plant wishlist

Because apparently I still need more plants.

This page contains the Marantaceae varieties that I would still like to add to my collection.

The current list is only a temporary draft. The candidates below will be replaced as soon as I decide which leafy temptation deserves the remaining fragments of available space.

The wishlist

Goeppertia gaby

She is absolutely gorgeous, and I already paid a small fortune for her once. She seemed perfectly happy in my Belgian tropics for two whole months—then suddenly chose extreme drama and died within a week. Apparently, I am willing to risk both my money and my feelings again.

High priority

Goeppertia wildstar

Wild by name, wild by beauty and completely wild in price. She belongs in my collection—I simply need to work a few extra jobs, cancel all unnecessary expenses and possibly stop eating.

High priority

Goeppertia majestica 'Roseolineata'

I am not even sure whether this beauty is actually for sale anywhere. I have never seen one available, which makes finding her slightly more complicated than usual. But this is a wishlist, not a realism list. I can still dream, right?

Medium priority

Calathea lutea variegata

She is beautiful as hell—and almost as expensive as she is beautiful. Unfortunately, my current Calathea lutea is already working hard to become a three-meter indoor tree, so buying the variegated version may be less of a wishlist item and more of a serious housing decision.

Have you seen one?

Good tips are welcome.

If you know a reliable European seller offering one of these varieties, you are welcome to send me the link. I am especially interested in healthy, correctly identified plants rather than heroic rescue projects.
