Meet the Goeppertias—the real stars of the Marantaceae family. You might know them by their old name, Calatheas, but plant science had a plot twist. Those “Calatheas” in shops? Mostly Goeppertias now. They’re famous for their bold, oval leaves and patterns that look straight out of a designer’s sketchbook. I’m still learning how to keep them all happy—most thrive in my Belgian tropical setup, though a few remain stubborn divas. (And no, the grumpy ones don’t get photo time!)
